I just read one of those emails from the charismatic and influential David Faro Ruiz, sent through his “Club de Enfermos del Predictivo” (“Predictive Maintenance Club”), and one sentence really stuck with me: “If it doesn’t rotate, it seems like it doesn’t matter.” And he’s absolutely right.

Predictive maintenance isn’t just for motors, pumps, rotating or reciprocating machinery… There’s a whole world of assets that, even if they don’t appear to move, still need to be monitored and understood to prevent surprises.
