Collaboration with the Gijón Maritime School

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming Alfonso Díaz Secades, Raquel Martínez, and Mateo Rodríguez from the Department of Nautical Science and Technology at the Gijón Maritime School to our TWave S.L. facilities.

November 12, 2024

They are developing an innovative system for fault detection in marine diesel engines, based on real-time parameters and aligned with Industry 4.0 and Digital Twin objectives.

This project has great potential to address challenges such as decarbonization, sustainable mobility, and the efficient use of water and oceans.

Mateo, a final-year Physics undergraduate student, is supported by a IUTA scholarship for this project, which also involves researchers from the Department of Computer Science, specializing in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.

At TWave, we believe in the power of collaboration to drive innovation. Our product, TWave T8, with its edge technology and autonomous capabilities, is an advanced solution that fits perfectly into predictive maintenance monitoring for vessel engines. We’re proud to contribute our expertise and work together to optimize the efficiency of maritime assets.

We are excited about the possibilities this project brings and the positive impact we can create together.
